This is great I love this idea! I think they should create a system like this that shocks the crap out of anyone who tries to touch your car at least.

I love the song too! Whoa black betty blambalam! Too cool! Reminds me of Need for Speed Underground 2. A newer band redid the song, and it’s featured in the game. It’s my wife Shirley’s favorite song in the game

I also love the original 1970’s version of the song by Ram Jam. You probably haven’t heard of them. They were a one hit wonder and they did not write the song originally.

The song ‘Black Betty’ was written in the 1930s by Blues legend H. Ledbetter, aka Led Belly. It’s rumoured that it really originated from an old railroad work gang chant or from the chants and rhymes children back in the 1920’s and 30’s used to sing while jumping rope.

I love new technology. This has got to be the greatest breakthrough in automobile technology since airbags. Well, maybe.

Michelin has developed a new airless tire that never goes flat. They kind of look a little flimsy but they are definately cool as he((. I wonder how much they are going to cost. Here’s some photos.

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.

The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires.

This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology: A. no more air valves…

C. no more repair kits…
D. no more flats…

Sciencehack’s database is currently kind of small but you can help them by adding the science video’s you find on the internet to their database.

They are in their Alpha stage which means they just started so give them any help you can.

Sites like theses can help scientists and engineers develop new technology much faster than ever before. If we’re ever going to eliminate the need for fossil fuels or start reducing pollutions and energy consumption we need some newer, cleaner technology fast. So go find some good scientific videos on your favorite video sharing site about whatever science related topic your interested in and submit them to ScienceHack. Just copy and paste the video embed code right into the Content field and you’re done.

I found this video on a cool blog I found at facebook. It’s called UFO Watcher. I didn’t know about this video until just now. Have you guys seen this? It’s pretty cool.

It features Stanton Friedman, Jose Escamilla and Dr. Roger Leer talking about an interesting piece of material from the Roswell Crash and it’s obviously not of this world.

Fifty years after the most famous UFO crash, scientists discuss the results of the tests on a unfamiliar rock found at the crash site. Surprisingly enough (or not), the tests reveal that the debris is not of earthly origin.

I’m unsure as to when this was aired but it appears to be relatively recent.

This is a post from the old Strange And Cool on blogger. I thought it was worthy of a re-post. I have also appended some more information about Mark Tilden and his ”Satbots” with a link to a cool article about them on American Scientist at the end.

I’ve been interested in robots ever since I was a little boy, as were many boys that grew up in my era.

I had a few robotic toys as a child too and I would always tear them apart to see if I could learn anything.

Most of them were “cheap” and weren’t very impressive. The coolest thing they had back in the 70’s when I was really young was “rock ‘em sock ‘em robots. Yes they were kinda cheap and had no motors but the linkage set up for the controllers amazed me. It was just string routed up through the robots limbs and the limbs had springs that returned them back to their default position. I still think it is an ingenious idea.

Anyways, not much happened in the field of robotics as far as I was concerned growing up.

Then I got into the work force and started welding. It was in the welding shop that I learned about modern robotics and the way it works on the production line. It is pretty impressive but I was still disappointed at how primitive the whole thing is.

Productions robots are completely stupid. The programmer determines all the moves of the robots. You have to tell the robot precisely where to move and what to do every step of the way which takes hours of programming and trial and error. They are just stepper motors which are programmed and controlled by computers every step of the way. Hardly any sensors, no smart capabilities like the ability to detect misaligned parts or anything.

I was truly disappointed in the progress of robotics in the last 20 years after what I had learned.

Then in 1997 I learned about Mark Tilden and his new BEAM Robotics philosophy and I finally saw a glimmer of hope for the advancement of robotics.

I got a comment from Richard Lalancette about contacting Dr. Steven Greer on the Mobious Ring free energy device I posted yesterday. Who the heck is this guy I thought, so I googled him (that doesn’t sounds very good does it? Don’t go around googling people or you could go to jail! LoL.) Anyways I found his blog and he’s got some very interesting stuff over there.

There was this one video that really intrigued me. It’s about someones idea (don’t know who yet) about how crop circles may actually be blueprints to build an interstellar craft. It looks like they just built a website for the idea too. So I went and checked it out to see if it was worthy of posting a short article about.

I found a little info at the website but not much. The videos explain it best. These videos are very compelling and they go into technical detail about how they think this thing would work. Well sort of. You really just have to check it out to see what I’m talking about.

Imagining the fourth dimension is hard but 6 more dimensions after that is completely mind boggling. Very interesting though. This is a concept that was thought up by scientists involved with string theory research. None of this is proven it’s just a theory. Granted it’s an amazing theory, but still just a theory.

Did you know that people have discovered how to use high voltage electricity to propel a craft through umm… “whatever”? It’s pretty amazing.

This is called the Lifter Project. I learned about the lifter project about 3 years ago while I was searching the web for info about gravitational propulsion.

Here’s the jist of it: You take some tin foil and a wire and glue it to some balsa wood in a certain configuration then apply like 20 thousand volts and it propels itself.

People all over the world are building them. There have been over 350 successful registered Lifter replications Worldwide according to the JLN Labs Website

Apparently Lifters don’t use conventional methods of propulsion. They use the Biefeld-Brown effect which means it uses ions to propel itself off of the atoms around it.

The trend has caught on so much that even NASA is experimenting with it now.
