I’ve compiled some interesting videos from youtube and replaced the old video in this post with the new material and updated the text a little. There’s lot’s more info about how to build a working mobious ring or TPU for those who would like to experiment with it. I’m still working on updating the text and links too so expect more changes.
I am urging anyone who works or experiments with electronics to build one of these and experiment with it in the hopes that we may one day have a new Independence Day. One that symbolizes the day we got off the grid, quit using fossil fuels and became truly free.
You can make the girl in the video spin clockwise or counterclockwise using only your mind. Amazing.
If you’re having trouble try covering the top half. Cover everything but her legs and make them switch. Then uncover the rest of her and she’ll be spinning the other way.
If this still doesn’t work, close your eyes and visualize a math or logic problem, then open your eyes. Then close your eyes again and visualize something artistic ( a painting you create) then open your eyes again. You will be switching back and forth between the Left and Right Hemispheres of your brain, this is what determines the dancers direction.
When I did it it switched back and forth when I started reading and then stopped. Then I tried the leg thing and that worked really good. Sometimes thinking about the math and painting (or drawing stick figures in my case) doesn’t work too well for me. lol.
After you practice for a little while you can eventually make her switch directions by just thinking about it. Try making her go back and forth from one direction to the other it’s really cool.
