Celestial Summit Meeting
There’s supposed to be some really cool stuff happening in the sky this weekend with the Moon, Venus and Saturn.
They say it’s going to look pretty interesting if you have a telescope.
List of people I know who have a telescope:
- Bob from Blackholes and Astrostuff
- Anna from My Only Photo (I guess 40x binoculars count
I used to have a telescope when I was a teenager. I think it was like an 80 or a 100 or something like that. It got destroyed after I left it in storage for about a year and the shed had a leak right above the box I kept it in. Ooops. Looks like I’ll just have to wait for Bob and Anna to take pictures and post them. 
I think Bob has the right idea with the portable observatory / shed thingy. That thing is awesome.
Okay what was I talking about? Damned A.D.D. - Oh yea! The Celestial Summit Meeting story at Yahoo. Some cool stuff is going to be happening in the sky this weekend. Like right now!
Here’s a qoute from the story:
“an ever-changing ‘Celestial Summit Meeting’ will greet early risers as Venus interacts with Regulus, Saturn and a lovely crescent Moon in some very interesting celestial configurations.”
I believe they said this is happening October 6th and 7th on Saturday and Sunday morning early.
