One Of The First Books Ever Published About The UFO Phenomenon

I’m not sure if everyone knows about this one yet or not, but I just found out that one of the first books ever published about the UFO phenomenon has hit the public domain and I’m reading it now.

The title of the book is “The Flying Saucers Are Real” by Donald Keyhoe [1950]

The case studies in this book are outstanding and still unexplained. I’m not too sure of all the details since I’m not finished reading it yet so I can’t make a conclusion. I’m on chapter two and it’s very interesting.

My Apologies

Sorry for not posting for so long everybody. :-(   I apologize for being a bad blogger. :-0  I’ve been really busy lately though.

Regular posting will continue soon I promise. I have a few things to take care of and then we’re going on vacation but I will try to find some cool stuff to write about.

 I had a couple of weird, creepy experiences at work awhile back that you might find interesting, and funny. :-)

 In the mean time why not check out my personal blog.

Celestial Summit Meeting

There’s supposed to be some really cool stuff happening in the sky this weekend with the Moon, Venus and Saturn.

They say it’s going to look pretty interesting if you have a telescope.

List of people I know who have a telescope:

  1. Bob from Blackholes and Astrostuff
  2. Anna from My Only Photo (I guess 40x binoculars count :-)

I used to have a telescope when I was a teenager. I think it was like an 80 or a 100 or something like that. It got destroyed after I left it in storage for about a year and the shed had a leak right above the box I kept it in. Ooops. Looks like I’ll just have to wait for Bob and Anna to take pictures and post them. :-P

I think Bob has the right idea with the portable observatory / shed thingy. That thing is awesome.

Okay what was I talking about? Damned A.D.D. – Oh yea! The Celestial Summit Meeting story at Yahoo. Some cool stuff is going to be happening in the sky this weekend. Like right now!

Here’s a qoute from the story:

“an ever-changing ‘Celestial Summit Meeting’ will greet early risers as Venus interacts with Regulus, Saturn and a lovely crescent Moon in some very interesting celestial configurations.”

I believe they said this is happening October 6th and 7th on Saturday and Sunday morning early.
